For this I just played around with the recipe of my homemade granola as I wanted to make a chocolate granola. This is what I came up with and I must say it’s really good! The chocolate flavour comes from the cacao powder and the sweetness from maple syrup so it still has no processed sugars but still satisfies those chocolate and sweet cravings.
Fills about a 1 ½ litre food jar
Prep: 5 mins
Cooking: 30 mins
Ingredients
400g Rolled oats
80g Almonds
50g Hazelnuts
3 tbsp chia seeds
6 tbsp goji berries
3 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
7 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp coconut oil
Method
Mix together all the ingredients apart from the goji berries, the coconut oil needs to be melted.
Spread out on a baking tray and bake in the oven at 170 degrees fan for about 30 minutes or until golden and toasted. Leave too cool and then stir in the goji berries.
Store in an air tight container. Enjoy!
