If you aren’t a fan of nuts this is a great way to make them sweeter and more exciting. I enjoy adding this to all sorts but also enjoy it as a snack that is full of healthy fats and protein.
Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 25 mins
Ingredients
140g almonds
140g pecans
100g pumpkin seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
Pinch of ground cloves
1 tbsp black treacle
2 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Add almonds, pecans and pumpkin seeds to a food processor to break into smaller pieces.
In a large bowl add the spices, nuts and seeds mixture and the melted black treacle, maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla extract. Stir well.
Line a baking with baking paper and spread the mixture on it. Bake in the oven at 150 degrees for about 20-25 mins or until nice and golden. Let cool and then break up into chunks. Store in an air tight container. Enjoy!
